Most facial massage techniques work on the surface of the face. Kobido, due to its complexity and intensity of techniques, works on the deeper layers of the skin and muscles. This face lifting massage is the most technically advanced form of facial massage in Japan, if not the world.

Non-surgical

Japanese facelift massage that preserves your youthful look

The Kobido Japanese facelift massage technique offers a comprehensive approach to addressing various facial concerns, including the reduction of mimic wrinkles, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, gravitational folds, and compression lines. Additionally, it effectively targets common issues such as eye puffiness, dark circles, double chin, and the appearance of a widow's hump.

These outcomes are achieved through a combination of factors, including enhanced lymphatic drainage, muscle relaxation, potential stimulation of collagen production, stress reduction, and improved absorption of skincare products. The massage employs acupressure techniques to relax facial muscles, resulting in a smoother, more youthful complexion and noticeable skin lifting benefits.

Why Kobido?

Experience the benefits of a Japanese Facelift Massage

01

Reduces mimic wrinkles

Kobido Japanese facial massage helps reduce expression wrinkles, nasolabial fold, marionette lines, gravitational folds and compression lines. It is accomplished through improved lymphatic drainage, muscle relaxation, potential collagen stimulation and stress reduction. The massage's gentle strokes and pressure help relax facial muscles which contributes to a smoother and more youthful complexion.

02

Restores Healthy Facial Tissue

A Japanese facial massage aims to restore healthy skin by enhancing blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, and muscle relaxation. The massage stimulates oxygen and nutrient delivery to skin cells, reduces puffiness, and alleviates muscle tension, all of which can contribute to improved skin vitality. Additionally, the technique's stress-reducing and relaxation elements can promote overall skin health by minimizing the impact of stress on skin appearance.

03

Eliminates toxins

A Japanese facial massage is able to aid in the elimination of toxins from the skin by promoting lymphatic drainage and increased blood circulation. The massage encourages the movement of lymphatic fluids, helping to reduce puffiness and remove waste products and toxins that can accumulate in the skin tissue. This process, coupled with improved blood flow and lymphatic flow, can enhance the skin's natural detoxification processes.

04

Increases skin firmness

A Japanese facial massage can enhance skin firmness and radiant complexion through its unique approach. The massage can stimulate blood circulation, which in turn delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the skin cells. This increased nourishment supports collagen and elastin production, essential proteins for skin elasticity and firmness. The massage's muscle-relaxing properties can also reduce facial tension and repetitive motions, contributing to a smoother appearance.

05

Prevents eye swelling

Eye swelling can be reduced with the help of a Japanese facial massage by promoting lymphatic drainage and improving circulation. The massage encourages the movement of lymphatic fluids built up under the skin and within our facial tissues.

06

Lifts neckline skin

A Japanese facial massage can lift neckline skin by addressing multiple factors. Through its specialized techniques, the massage stimulates blood circulation aiding in the removal of toxins and reducing fluid retention. This can lead to a reduction in puffiness and a more defined neckline. The massage's muscle-relaxing effects can alleviate tension. When combined with improved circulation and collagen stimulation, can contribute to improved skin elasticity and a lifted appearance along the neckline over time.

What to expect?

What it's like to attend my typical Kobido massage session

My Kobido session begins in the sitting position. The session starts by stripping the neck and back muscles using deep tissue body massage techniques. Next, the client moves onto the massage table laying on their back. We then move into the smooth and delicate movements that aim to relax the client and eliminate tension in the face, neck, and chest muscles. Next, we move onto the neck massage elements to promote circulation that carries nutrients to the facial skin which will help achieve tissue improvement and repair.

In the next phase, we move on to the relaxation techniques and lymphatic drainage. Finally, the massage session introduces stimulating, lifting and sculpting techniques which are then completed with the acupressure.

Kobido - the start

The origins of centuries old Kobido face massage techniques

Kobido dates all the way back to the mid-15th century when it was developed by two Japanese Amna (massage) masters. Today, it is still Japan's most technically advanced facial treatment and produces some of the best results. It is based on 48 ancient techniques. For example, vibrations can be made by quickly shaking your hands and fingers. This technique is used to loosen tight muscles and release toxins from the lymphatic system.

Dr. Shogo Mochizuki is the 26th Generation Master of the House and Lineage of Kobido and teaches the ancient art. Since he became an instructor in 1990, Shogo Mochizuki has been sharing his knowledge and expertise of Kobido with people all around the world.
